Tamil Nadu government has announced the start of 2025–26 student admissions under the Right to Education (RTE) Act after the Centre released pending funds. Over 1.1 lakh students will get free admission in more than 8,000 private schools from LKG or Class 1 up to Class 8. Priority is given to disadvantaged groups, and parents can apply online at rte.tnschools.gov.in.
