As the Bihar Assembly elections approach, reports suggesting that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, could take over as the leader of the Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)] have unsettled the BJP. Meanwhile, opposition leader and RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav has welcomed this possibility, stating that only if Nishant Kumar becomes the JD(U) leader can the party be saved from the BJP.
