Teachers and government employees from the JACTO-GEO organization have gone on a symbolic strike today, pressing for 10 demands, including the implementation of the old pension scheme; the elimination of wage discrepancies; permanent employment for temporary teachers; and the filling of vacancies. Ramadoss has issued a statement in support of them.
