Against this backdrop, the U.S. has issued a warning that it intends to launch attacks targeting Iran’s power infrastructure. Retaliating to this threat, Iran has warned that if the U.S. attacks, its counter-attacks would trigger a severe drinking water crisis across the entire Gulf region—including Dubai.
