Mary Varghese, a Kerala resident, has retired as an associate director in the Tamil Nadu Social Welfare Department. She owned a vacant land measuring 2,500 square feet in Kolathur, Chennai, worth Rs 1.5 crore. It is said that some people had acquired this land by using fake documents to purchase it. Two people, including a cinema theater owner, were arrested in this case.
