Opposition has emerged within the party regarding GK Vasan’s decision to contest under the Lotus symbol. Expressing their dissent against this move, TMC functionaries Biju Chacko and Purushothaman have resigned from the party. They have raised the question: “What was the necessity to contest under the ‘Lotus’ symbol instead of standing under the symbol of the major party, the AIADMK?”
