Thoothukudi V.O.C. Port is undergoing major expansion, including widening its sea channel to 230 meters to handle mega vessels. Port Chairman Sushas Anand Kumar Purohit announced that it will soon become India’s first green manufacturing port with methanol fuel facilities, solar and wind energy systems, achieving carbon-neutral status by 2026.
