In order to promote cashless transactions, Chennai city buses have the facility of travelling through the Singara Chennai Digital Travel Card. Currently, the Tamil Nadu government is planning to introduce this digital travel card in all transport corporation buses. It has been reported that the Tamil Nadu government is seriously considering this.
