The government highways department acquired land for road expansion work in the Neelankarai area of Chennai. In this, Natarajan from Alwarthirunagar, Chennai, received a compensation of Rs. 16 crore by presenting the relevant documents stating that 1,050 square meters of land was his own land. However, the investigation revealed that the land was sold using fake documents and was fraudulent.
