Chennai-Tirupati Highway (NH.716) is one of the busiest roads in the country. The construction of an 18-kilometer 4-lane highway between Tiruvallur and Thiruninravur via Veppampattu, Thirunirkulam, Thozhudur and Sevvapettai was started in 2022 and is currently underway. It is reported that this work will be completed soon and the road will be opened by September.
