The long-delayed Velachery–Parangimalai flyover rail project in Chennai is nearing completion after 15 years. With electrification and track works almost finished, officials plan to complete the project by December and launch services by January-end, easing congestion and benefiting commuters from Velachery, Adambakkam, and surrounding areas.
