Ahead of the 2026 Assembly Elections, the Saurashtra community in Madurai organised a major political conference inviting DMK, AIADMK, NTK, BJP and TVK representatives. With strong voter presence in Madurai South and Tirupparankundram, the community has demanded proper political representation and candidate allocation from parties.
