Gas distribution companies in Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur and Nagapattinam districts are currently actively registering customers to go to their homes and provide gas through pipelines. So far, 1.47 lakh households have registered. Officials plan to provide cooking gas through pipelines to all households by 2032.
