A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the case of sexually assaulting a 3-year-old child and hitting him in the face with a stone near Sirkazhi in Mayiladuthurai district. Regarding this case, Mayiladuthurai Collector Mahabharathi has sparked controversy by saying that the incident was caused by the 3-year-old child spitting in the boy’s face.
