Preparations were in full swing to open a TASMAC shop in the Thiruvithangodu Mampliyakulam area near Thakkalai in Kanyakumari district yesterday evening. TASMAC employees arrived in an auto loaded with liquor bottles. Then they were going to put the liquor bottles inside the shop and start selling. But the women of Thakkalai strongly opposed the opening of a brand new TASMAC shop.
