The Chennai Meteorological Department has announced that heavy rainfall is expected to continue in Tamil Nadu for the next one week. It stated that today alone, heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in 9 districts. According to the department, heavy rain is expected in districts including Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Theni, Tenkasi, and Kanyakumari.
