Seven people, including the son of a police inspector, were arrested for smuggling high-grade drugs like methamphetamine and cocaine in the Coimbatore area. It was revealed that the drugs were smuggled from Mumbai and sold in various parts of Tamil Nadu. The police seized Rs. 12 lakh in cash and Rs. 50 lakh in drugs.
