The water flow in the Cauvery river in Hogenakkal has increased from 50,000 cubic feet per second to 57,000 cubic feet per second. Due to heavy rains in the Cauvery catchment areas, the amount of water released from the Karnataka dams has increased. A flood warning has been issued for people along the Cauvery banks.
