It is noteworthy that the Pongal gift amount to be given in Tamil Nadu this year is the highest cash amount ever announced for Pongal. Previously, the highest amount given was in 2021, when the then CM Edappadi Palaniswami provided Rs. 2,500 along with the Pongal gift, whereas this year, CM Stalin is providing Rs. 3,000.
