Private weather forecaster Skymet has predicted below-normal monsoon rainfall for India in 2026 at just 94% of the long-period average of 868.6 mm, largely due to the strengthening El Nino effect that is expected to reduce precipitation in the second half of the June–September season. 2026-ம் ஆண்டு இந்தியாவுக்கு பருவமழை சராசரியை விடக் குறைவாக 94 சதவீதம் மட்டுமே பெய்யும்.
