While reports were circulating that the DMK alliance and the DMDK were about to join forces and that the seat allocation had been finalized, information has now leaked that significant progress has been made in negotiations for the DMDK to join the AIADMK alliance. It has been reported that 10 MLA seats and one Rajya Sabha seat have been confirmed for the DMDK within the NDA alliance.
