Chennai Meteorological Department has announced that heavy rains are likely in various districts of Tamil Nadu for the next few days due to the low pressure area of the tropical cyclone. It has been reported that heavy rains are likely in Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tirupattur and Vellore districts tomorrow.
