A clash erupted among the gangsters arrested in the Armstrong murder case and lodged in Puzhal prison. The conflict arose between Ponnai Balu, Manivannan, and Pudhur Appu regarding bail matters. Assistant Jail Officer Thirunavukkarasu, who intervened to stop the fight, was injured and admitted to the hospital for treatment.
