A 17-kilometer-long tunnel road is planned from Hebbal to Silk Board in Bengaluru to reduce traffic congestion. Tenders were invited for this project. While a total of four companies participated, the Adani Group quoted the lowest price to complete the work. However, this amount is Rs. 4,569 crore higher than the government’s estimated cost, which has sparked controversy.
